The book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a engaging book for the students to read!! The caterpillar eats his way throughout the whole book and eventually turns into a butterfly in the end. I remember reading this story in the classroom when I was younger and fell in love with it! You can do an activity with this book with the students, by letting them make their very own hungry caterpillar by using paints, construction paper, scissors, and glue! This book is geared towards kindergarten through 2nd grade!

The book, Green Eggs And Ham is such a classic book to read in the classroom! Of course no one, like eating green eggs and ham! The students will love hearing this book because no one likes eating anything green at their age! You can do a fun activity with this book by using retelling the story with using blocks. There can be a picture of a few pages on each block and this can be a visual aid for the students to use to help remind them of the main events and the order that they occurred in the story. This book is geared for kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Love this book! This book is fun, creative and energetic! The host gives a cookie to a mouse, and then gives a glass of milk to the mouse. The mouse needs a mirror to make sure that he doesn't have a milk moustache and the list can go on. You can do a counting cards activity with the book, and on the cards will have a the numbers 1-10 on the top right corner and a huge picture of a chocolate chip cookie on the front. This book is geared for kindergarten through 2nd grade!

The Rainbow Fish was very beautiful and his scales were of every color, and throughout the story the fish learned to share his beautiful scales with the other fishes so everyone can look beautiful too. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, is a fun book to read to your class! This book is all about the alphabet chant. I remember my 1st grade teacher reading this book to my class and I absolutely loved it! And my mom is a kindergarten teacher and she read this classic story to her class, an then the class actually made a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree and it was such a fun activity for everyone to do!

The Giving Tree, is a very tender hearted book. The book, is about how much a tree loves a boy. Throughout the book, the tree gave and gave and gave to the boys wants and need. The tree let him slide down from her trunk, swing from her branches, eat her apples and much more.. Towards the end of the book the tree let the boy cut most of her down to make a boat. Through the years the boy grows up into an old man and come back to the tree, and the tree let the old man sit on her stump. This is such a sweet sweet book, and will teach your class how to be nice and share with other classmates. This should be read to kindergarten through 2nd grade.

This book is perfect for independent reading or read aloud in the classroom! I remember my 2nd grade teacher reading this book to my class and it has always stuck with me since then! I absolutely love how the old lady is walking through the woods and she keeps running in to different obstacles and keeps telling herself that she is not afraid. This is such a fun book to read to your sweet little 1st and 2nd graders around Halloween! Throughout the story the teacher can make noises, and the students can follow. This way you can engage the students into the book and make sure that they are listening and understanding what is going on in the book. They will LOVE IT!!

The book, Strega Nona is very interesting. Strega Nona lives in a small home near the town, and she does a lot of work for people of the town. Eventually she feels to old to take care of everything, and so she hired help. Big Anthony came and he stole him what he needs to do and in return he will get 3 coins and a place to stay and food to eat. After a while, Strega Nona only had one rule for Anthony, and that was to not touch her pasta pot. One evening, Anthony over heard Strega Nona singing to the pasta pot, and the pot ended up being magic and pasta appears in it when it is sung to. Strega Nona let one at to visit her friends, and she told big Anthony to not touch the pot again. After she left, big Anthony sang to the pot and made pasta for the whole town and when he sang the song again to ate the pasta stop growing he forgot the 3 kisses at the end of the song. The pasta kept growing until the pasta almost took over the whole town. Strega Nona came back from her trip and she knew what big Anthony had done, she sand the song and made the pasta stop growing. In the very end, she made big Anthony eat all of the pasta she can sleep in her bed tonight and so he did. This book is useful in the classroom, because this teaches students to not touch anything without asking and kept their hands to themselves. Also mind instructions when given. This book is towards kindergarten-2nd grade!

I remember in 2nd grade when my teacher Mrs. Faith who is very sweet and was loved by our class! This book reminds me of my teacher Mrs. Faith, because in the book Mrs. Nelson the teacher is just like her! Mrs. Nelson is a sweet teacher and her students are out of control. To solve this problem, Mrs. Neslon dresses up as a scary substitute. Mrs. Nelson calls herself Mrs. Viola Swamp the substitute. The class has no idea that under all of that scary make up, is their sweet teacher. Mrs. Viola whips the class into shape and the students realizes that they are very grateful for their teacher Mrs. Nelson. And when the teacher comes back the next day her class is well behaved! This book can help teach the students how to be respectful to the teacher in the classroom! This book is geared towards kindergarten through every grade!!!
